#WaterFreeJanmashtami
Janmashtami marks the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. One of its most celebrated rituals is Dahi Handi, where spirited groups form human pyramids to reach and break an earthen pot filled with curd, hung high. At the very top of this pyramid is usually a child, lovingly called Govinda. To add to the excitement, the crowd often splashes water at Govinda, making the climb more challenging. But what feels like harmless fun has a cost: gallons of water wasted and a serious risk to safety. By highlighting these consequences, we sparked important conversations, and the effort went on to win us a Golden Elephant.
